What We’ve Been Up To

It has been a month peeps. Anyone with me on that? Many great things. I wanted to just catch everyone up in case you haven’t been following along on insta or if you have a hard time keeping up with all my posts!

First and foremost, we are JUST ABOUT TO CLOSE ON A HOUSE. Seriously exciting news here, this quaint little town-home will be ours in just a matter of weeks. On the 23rd Luis and I will be celebrating one year of marriage. Time flies. Just days later is our closing date so that weekend as a little anniversary get-away, we will spend our first night in our home. Just the two of us. It will still be empty, so a blanket fort will have to do (I say it like it’s a bad thing, I’m actually quite excited). In the morning we will paint the master because for some reason it’s the only room not painted white! Here’s a little peak into the house.
Of course I’ll share more once it’s decorated as our own.

Notice the doors? Blue-ish grey? I’m not a fan. Everyone else is. I can’t help but wonder if they will look more grey than blue when we get our grey, black, and white decor in. That would be cool. Check back in three months from now to see how I’ve decided I feel about them. That’s the deal before we paint them white.šŸ˜‰

Coming a bit sooner, I have decided to return to school! It was a quick and last minute decision but I’m excited. After a disheartening fall semester left me completely unsure of what I wanted to do, these past months away from school left me with a clear mind and helped me decide the path I am taking. Web design! DUH! How did I not realize that before?! I know I could do well without a degree, and who knows, maybe I’ll never finish. But learning more and gaining skills can’t hurt!

Tahlya turns two at the beginning of June so the next few weeks, as if we weren’t busy enough, will be filled with party planning! We may not even be fully moved by her birthday so the plan is a belated party at the end of the month. I am working with a couple brands for her pastel pink, gold, and peppa pig party and am so looking forward to it! If you are a brand interested in collaborating for her party on June 18 I would love to hear from you! Submit a proposal through my contact form.

As for small things, lots of those are happening as well. Tahlya spits out new words every day, we’ve heard “cry” “raining” “oh shit” “cookie” “no mommy” and “raaaaawr” quite a bit lately. Hmmmm. Hahaha. I’m on a quest for a new favorite tea. Father’s Day is coming up and I am trying to narrow down on ideas for Luis. I have a quick business trip to AZ and I am oh so excited for it! An uplifting getaway is much needed.

That’s what we’ve been up to. What’s up with you?

  1. Congrats and I can’t wait to see everything when you’re all moved in!

The idea of school is cool, and I think about going back, but I’m tired of it haha. I spent 6 years getting my bachelors degree because I was lazy, unfocused & then I transferred, which made me have to start over since most of my credits weren’t accepted. I think a web design degree will take you far. If you don’t finish you can still apply the skills to your blog and other side jobs.

I’ve been sick, hungry & very moody. We fund out that I was pregnant again over the weekend, so I’m going to make sure that I get lots of rest & everything else to make this journey as smooth as possible. Our new lease starts on May 14th and were thinking about moving our stuff in at 12:01am that day because it sounds cool.

I just realized that I’m talking about moving after midnight after I just said that I’m going to make sure I get more rest. *sigh*

    1. Oh I love your words. They sound like a song as I read them. I am so looking forward to this degree, or maybe the idea of it, I am sure I’ll find that out soon enough.

Congrats on the pregnancy! I am so happy for you! You already know that I will be sending all the good vibes your way. May 14 is this week, yikes, that’s exciting! Much love mama.

What do you think?
