It’s no secret that meditation reduces stress and clears the mind, I firmly believe everyone should be meditating at least a couple times a week. And I mean everyone. And yes, I am looking at you moms. Moms are probably one of the top categories of people who need meditation most. We give and give and all too often I’ll hear a mom say I wish I had the time to do more for myself. Well, here’s the reality ladies, you need to make that time, I know it’s not easy, and I can only imagine how much more difficult it is when you have more than one child; but when your glass is empty you can only give so much. That is, if you can even give any at all without completely depleting yourself. I know, I know, I get repetitive when it comes to self care but it is SO IMPORTANT.
So, if you can only find a bit of time each week to spend all for yourself, spend it mastering meditation.
What Meditation Can Do For You:
- Improved Patience. My patience level more than doubles anytime I finish a meditation session. I’m not kidding, I suddenly become much more tolerant and my mood sets to sunshine and rainbows.
- Happy mom, happy life, no kidding right? Kids are so intuitive, they know when something is up with mom, even if it the most minor of stresses. We are our children’s constant, so if something changes they’re likely to feel like they’ve done something wrong to cause it. Bringing on a whole new set of problems.
- You WILL feel inspired. Myself and everyone I have ever spoken to that meditates agrees that when you’ve just finished meditation, your inspiration goes through the roof. This, of course benefits your children but that also benefits YOU!
- Your entire well-being improves w. regular meditation. Whether you are a parent or not, you deal w. the stressors of life everyday. As you improve one area of your life you will notice other areas getting better too.
